Another outreach with Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries USA has been proposed for New Zealand in 2014. The Christian Leaders Forward Planning Group has been meeting and praying since the conclusion of the Greg Laurie 2011 mission. “2014 was chosen because of the Christian activities being planned for this historic year,” says Graeme Lee, who was one of the main organisers of Auckland Harvest last year. “February or March allows for an outside venue to be considered as opposed to the June date of the last mission. A major evangelical outreach would be most strategic and fit in well at this time.”

Mr Lee says they will also require the next 18 months for prayer, planning and communication to ensure the mission covers the whole of New Zealand. “The format of the mission is still being considered. Because it is going to be nationwide, leaders throughout the country are being contacted for their response,” he says.

The Christian Leaders Forward Planning Group has had regular communication with Harvest’s CEO John Collins who is expected to visit New Zealand soon.
