| CITY IMPACT CELEBRATES |
|
After humble beginnings in St Anne’s Hall in Browns Bay on Auckland’s North Shore, City Impact Church has grown to a congregation of 5500 with churches around the country and even overseas. The story of City Impact’s 30 years reflects on it growing from strength to strength, and includes church members’ dedication to building their North Shore campus and the laying down of media platforms so future generations can see souls saved. On pages 8 and 9 find out how City Impact Church celebrated its 30th birthday last week with events such as an in-house black tie gala and a concert from American artist Mark Schultz. City Impact’s Senior Pastor Peter Mortlock also shares how the church was planted and about the amazing effort of church members who gave up a day of their weekends for more than two years to build the church’s Sanctuary. He also reveals how becoming a pastor has changed his life and what the plans are for the church’s future. “The vision for the church has never changed from day one; the vision is to see people saved. We’re very outward-focussed …” he says. |
