AUCKLAND’S West City Christian Centre is once again hosting the 2010 “New Zealand and Beyond” conference. The theme for this year’s event from March 18 to 20 is “The Lord of the Breakthrough.”
The theme comes from 2 Samuel 5:20 when God gave King David an amazing victory. David called the place Baal Perazim, which means, “Lord of the Breakthrough”. Tak Bhana, senior pastor of West City Christian Centre, said they were “praying and believing that there will be a great impartation of the breakthrough anointing in this conference — an impartation that will enable us to see tremendous breakthroughs in the power of God, in souls being saved and added to the Church, and in New Zealand impacting nations for Christ. “If we are going to fulfil our destiny both personally and corporately, if we’re going to take new territory, and if we’re going to see our communities transformed, then we need to know the ‘Lord of the breakthrough,’” said Mr Bhana.
A number of special features have been included in the event this year.
There is a “pastors only” forum, a prayer of impartation for all delegates and times when delegates may encounter the “Lord of the Breakthrough”.
The church has also lined up seasoned speakers from New Zealand and abroad for the conference.
They are: David Mohan, senior pastor of the 35,000 strong New Life Assembly of God in Chennai, India. Mr Mohan has planted hundreds of other churches; Aaron Jayne associate pastor of Angelus Temple and the Dream centre in Los Angeles, United States; Alun Davies, senior minister of the 3000 member Faith Chris-tian Church in Melbourne, Australia. Mr Davies has also established an international Bible College, and Tak Bhana, senior pastor of West City Christian Centre and Running with Fire Ministries.
